Five without a win, and it's getting worse
AIK made it five straight Allsvenskan matches without a win, drawing 1–1 away to newly promoted Västerås. You took the lead through Áron Csongvai's stunning free-kick, but the lead lasted just seven minutes before Västerås equalised. The result leaves AIK stuck in mid-table with the season slipping away. As one analyst put it bluntly: AIK are getting worse and worse (3). Csongvai himself didn't hold back: "It didn't look good, to be honest" (1).
Cissé stretchered off after horror tackle
The bigger worry from the night is Ibrahim Cissé, who was carried off on a stretcher after a heavy challenge from Kevin Filling. TV4 pundit Vicki Blommé was scathing: "He should be pretty happy with a yellow in that situation" (2). Frederic Nsabiyumva also had to be substituted after a rough tackle. Your back line is suddenly looking very thin.
Yohanna: last game for AIK?
There's growing speculation that Yohanna may have played his final match for the club. The player is currently undergoing rehab, and when asked about his future, the response was a non-committal "we'll see" (6). No official word yet, but it doesn't sound promising.
