Andersson strikes late as AIK edge VSK in friendly

Andersson wins it at the death

Viktor Andersson buried a last-gasp winner as AIK beat VSK in a friendly on Sunday (1). The midfielder scored with practically the final kick of the match. It is a timely boost ahead of the Allsvenskan restart, and exactly the kind of result your team needed after that 4–1 derby collapse before the break.

Flataker talks with Go Ahead Eagles

AIK are in negotiations with Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles over Erik Flataker (2). The Eredivisie club have bid around €1m. AIK want closer to 16 million kronor. Nothing agreed yet, but the talks are live and a sale would give your club more room to move in the window.

Filling ready for his moment

With Bersant Celina heading to Saudi Arabia and Zadok Yohanna already gone to Brighton, Kevin Filling sees an opening. "Where the coach wants me, I'm ready," he said (3). The young attacker is not overthinking it: "I just go for it." He knows the door is open.

Yohanna on the setbacks that shaped him

Zadok Yohanna has spoken about being left out of Sweden's U17 and U20 squads earlier in his career (4). "That setback made me stronger," he said. The 17-year-old, now at Brighton after a club-record sale, used the rejection as fuel. AIK fans will recognise the mentality.
