Ayari and Filling deliver as the rebuild rolls on
Two wins from two since the World Cup break. AIK beat GAIS 2–0 at home on Sunday, and it was the kids who decided it (2).
Taha Ayari opened the scoring, Kevin Filling added the second. That is three straight wins now after the 2–1 away victory at Mjällby where Victor Andersson scored and assisted (2) (3).
Bersant Celina, Erik Flataker, and Zadok Yohanna have all left. The response from what is left of the squad? No panic. Kristoffer Nordfeldt said it plainly to FotbollDirekt: "I'm not surprised" (2).

Faqa becomes the latest name out the door
Ahmad Faqa is leaving. The centre-back has signed for Degerfors, confirmed Monday (1) (3).
He follows Celina, Flataker, Yohanna, and Áron Csongvai (whose move to Saint-Étienne nears completion at around €1m) out of the club. Hervé Matthys has arrived on a free to reinforce the defence, and Shedrack Chiwunba Eboh has joined the development setup. But the squad keeps thinning.
Former AIK forward lands in Greece
Benjamin Mbunga Kimpioka has a new club. The former AIK attacker signed for Asteras Tripolis in the Greek Super League (4).
Kimpioka bounced through Sivasspor, St. Johnstone, Luzern, Torquay United, and Tondela since leaving AIK. Now he gets a fresh start in Greece.
