Benkovic deal wobbles as AIK chase new names

Benkovic deal at risk of collapsing

The Filip Benkovic move is wobbling. Negotiations between AIK and Shenzhen Peng City have hit problems, and the loan deal that looked close could now fall apart completely (1) (3). The centre-back was supposed to strengthen a defence that just kept a clean sheet against GAIS. Now you might be back to square one.

First bid in for Hvidovre's Marius Elvius

AIK have tabled an opening offer for Marius Elvius, a midfielder from Danish second-tier side Hvidovre (2). The 23-year-old is under contract until 2028, so Hvidovre hold the cards. No word yet on whether the bid is anywhere near what they want.

Uronen joins Atromitos, AIK get nothing

Jere Uronen is gone. The Finnish defender has completed a permanent move to Greek club Atromitos, but AIK will not see a krona from it (4) (5). Sporting director Miika Takkula kept it short: "I want to thank Jere on behalf of the club for his time at AIK last year and wish him all the best going forward" (4).
