Carlstrand deal done: around 15 million kronor
Linus Carlstrand is your new forward. AIK have agreed a deal with Öster worth around 15 million kronor including bonuses, making it Öster's second-largest sale ever and the biggest Superettan transfer this season (1) (2). The 21-year-old is in Stockholm for his medical after choosing AIK over foreign bids, including a concrete offer from Belgian side RAAL La Louvière (3). Öster already had an agreement with RAAL, but Carlstrand wanted AIK.
Diogo Tomas in focus as Benkovic trail cools
AIK are in talks with free-agent centre-back Diogo Tomas, according to reports (4) (6). The 28-year-old Finn, most recently at ADO Den Haag, fits the profile of a short-term fix for a backline stretched by injuries. The Filip Benkovic option has gone cold (4). Tomas has previous Allsvenskan experience with HJK, KuPS, Ilves, and Odd, and would arrive as a free agent.
Nissen back training, targets Örgryte
Fredrik Nissen returned to individual training on Thursday after the issue that forced him out against GAIS (5). He is targeting the Örgryte match for a full return. Your centre-back depth remains thin: Hervé Matthys made his first start on artificial turf against Häcken, Wilmer Olofsson was recalled, and now Tomas is being pursued. Nissen getting back on the pitch would settle things.
