Csongvai set for Saint-Étienne as AIK bring in Eboh on trial

Csongvai heading to Saint-Étienne

Áron Csongvai is leaving. The Hungarian midfielder is set to join French Ligue 2 side ASSE, according to reports out of Hungary (1). No fee confirmed yet, but losing a key starter mid-season stings. A squad already missing twelve players last match now loses another body.

Nigerian teenager Eboh on trial

AIK have brought in Shedrack Chiwunba Eboh from Inspire FA for a training stint, with the club targeting a first professional contract for the young Nigerian (2). The timing fits, the club is expected to be active this window to patch a thin squad after Saturday's 1–2 loss at Mjällby.

The table right now

AIK sit 5th with 18 points from 12 matches, but the goal difference is minus two and the recent form reads loss, win, win. That loss came Saturday, a 1–2 away defeat to Mjällby AIF, with Henning Berg's side still shaking off the twelve-player injury crisis that forced six changes the week before. Flataker's move to Go Ahead Eagles also edges closer.
