Fredrik Söderberg leaves AIK CEO role as board seeks new direction

Fredrik Söderberg is out as AIK's CEO after the board decided they wanted a different leadership profile (1). The club confirmed the departure Thursday, with Söderberg himself stating the board "is looking for other special skills" to lead the organisation forward. No replacement has been named yet. It is a significant off-pitch move at a time when AIK sit 10th in Allsvenskan with 12 points from 10 matches, and the summer window is already testing the squad with several young talents heading abroad.
