Police investigating alleged AIK match-fixing from 2023
Swedish police are investigating an alleged match-fixing attempt involving three AIK players from 2023. The accusation: players wanted to lose on purpose to get then-coach Andreas Brännström fired (1) (6).
The match in question is a 1–1 draw against IFK Norrköping from August 2023, the same month Brännström was sacked (1) (6). The investigation is active and could have serious consequences if charges materialise.
Bazdar talks collapse, AIK move on
The Samed Bazdar deal is dead. Negotiations between AIK and Real Zaragoza have broken down completely (2) (5). St. Gallen's €2 million bid is gone. Sturm Graz tried a loan, Bazdar said no (2). Your club must now look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements this window.
Olofsson recalled early from Moss loan
Wilmer Olofsson is coming home. AIK have recalled the 20-year-old from his loan at Norwegian side Moss FK, one week before it was due to end (4). He returns with immediate effect and could add depth to the squad as the European push continues.
Kongsvinger's Job on the radar but likely out of reach
AIK are tracking Kongsvinger winger Daniel Job, who has 6 goals and 8 assists in 14 matches this season (3). The 20-year-old is attracting interest from bigger European clubs, which makes a deal unlikely (3).
