Söderberg dead at 82, black armbands tonight
Stefan Söderberg has died at 82. The former AIK sporting director and club icon passed away, and the club will honour him with black armbands against BK Häcken at Hisingen on Monday evening and a minute's silence before Sunday's home match against Örgryte (1) (4).
Former AIK title winner Gary Sundgren told Expressen: "Det är otroligt tragiskt" (1).
One win in seven at Hisingen
AIK face an uphill battle at Bravida Arena. The club have won just one of their last seven away matches against Häcken, and Häcken are unbeaten in eight straight meetings since 2021 (5) (6). Chinedu Obasi and Sebastian Larsson were in the side the last time AIK took three points there (5).
Seven injuries, Atola and Ellingsen left out
Seven players are unavailable for the Häcken match. Henry Atola and Martin Ellingsen have also not been selected in the 20-man travelling squad (3) (4). New signing Hervé Matthys, who debuted as a substitute in the 2–0 win against GAIS, could feature again as AIK look to extend their three-match winning run.
AIK and Djurgården both in for Onuoha
AIK and Djurgården are both chasing 17-year-old SJK midfielder Eze Onuoha, according to reports in Finland (2). SJK sporting director Miika Takkula is involved in the discussions (2). No deal is close yet.
