Degerfors winger lined up as Yohanna replacement
AIK are already planning for life after Zadok Yohanna. With the 18-year-old winger expected to leave for a record fee this summer, the club has identified Degerfors' Elias Pihlström as a potential replacement (1) (2). Pihlström, a former Djurgården academy player, currently plays for Swiss side Lugano but is on loan at Degerfors. Nothing advanced yet, but he's on the shortlist.
Brighton and Newcastle lead the chase for Yohanna
The bidding war is heating up. Brighton and Newcastle are reportedly the most active clubs pursuing Zadok Yohanna, with offers expected to exceed 300 million SEK (approx €22–23m). RB Leipzig, Real Madrid, Benfica, Rennes, Dortmund, and Bayer Leverkusen are all monitoring the situation too (2). This would absolutely shatter AIK's outgoing transfer record.
Sales first, then signings
Recruitment chief Miika Takkula has made the summer strategy clear: sales take priority. AIK need to move players out before they can reinvest significantly (3). That explains why the Pihlström link remains tentative, contingent on Yohanna's departure being finalized first. The message to fans: be patient, the dominoes will fall once that record sale goes through.
