Two goals in Córdoba, and the season stopped being an emergency
Racing de Córdoba 1–2 All Boys. Tabares and Leguizamón scored the goals that flipped a game All Boys had started behind, and the Albo left the Miguel Sancho with three points they had been chasing for weeks (2)(9)(11). Racing have now gone eight matches without a win (11). Somebody had to be the team that ended their slump, and it was not going to be All Boys.
That was the week's defining moment because of what it did to the table, not the highlight reel. Those are the first three points since Deportivo Morón beat them 2–1 on October 3 (2).
Safety arrived from another stadium
All Boys did not secure their Primera Nacional place with their own boot. San Miguel 0–0 Defensores de Belgrano did it for them, and the Albo survive with a round to spare (7)(10). A team that has drawn four of its last five got saved by a draw somewhere else. That is not an insult. It is the honest accounting of a squad that spent the season one result from the drop.

Sixteenth of eighteen, 38 points from 35 games, minus nine on goal difference. There is no version of this that reads as progress, and nobody at Floresta should try to sell it that way.
The punishment lands on the people who did nothing
Nine barras have been banned for 48 months over the incidents before the Godoy Cruz game at the Islas Malvinas on 12 October (5). The sanction that follows is heavier for everyone else: the Estudiantes de Caseros match will be played behind closed doors (8).
Nine named men, and thousands lose the last home afternoon of the year. The club's own statement from the annual assembly praised "la gran participación de la masa societaria presente, la cual fortalece la vida institucional del club" (12). A member used that same assembly to call for president Nicolás Cambiasso's resignation (12). Both things happened. Survival on the pitch has not quietened anything off it.
What to watch on Monday
Estudiantes de Caseros, 17:00, with nothing left to play for except the shape of the winter. They drew 1–1 with Los Andes in their last outing, Ardiles scoring for them and Asenjo levelling (13). All Boys will want their strongest available eleven on the pitch and a performance that does not depend on results elsewhere.
Then comes the assembly fallout. Cambiasso will either answer it or he will not, and the squad that just stayed up will be rebuilt in front of an audience with no patience left for another season this close to the Primera B.
