Hazard and Verschaeren out the door
Anderlecht have confirmed both Thorgan Hazard and Yari Verschaeren will leave on free transfers this summer. The club made it official today: the two midfielders will not renew and are gone when their contracts expire. The club called it "the best decision for all parties" (1).
Both departures sting. Hazard arrived with pedigree after stints at Chelsea, Gladbach, and Dortmund. Verschaeren came through the academy and was once seen as the crown jewel of Neerpede. Now they walk for nothing.
