Haaland to Arsenal? The line is open
Arsenal are interested in Erling Haaland (1). Haaland has played 152 games for Manchester City, and the Norwegian striker is now being linked with a move to north London (1).
This has escalated fast. An independent commission found Manchester City guilty of 114 breaches of Premier League financial rules, and that has changed Haaland's situation at the club (2). Arsenal and Real Madrid have both made contact with Haaland's camp (2). He is valued at around €220m and is reportedly keen on a move (2).
You are second in the table on 12 points, behind City. This is the striker version of the conversation you have been having all season.

Gyokeres scored for Sweden, but a pundit is not sold
Viktor Gyokeres scored Sweden's second goal in a 2–1 Nations League win over Romania (5). He is getting his minutes for his country. At Arsenal he has had to wait, with Kai Havertz preferred as the starting striker (5).
Not everyone is convinced. Former Arsenal defender Armand Traore was blunt about him. "If I was to play against Gyokeres I wouldn't be worried," Traore said. "I was a very, very fast player. He could push it past me but there is no way he is getting past" (3).
Traore was talking about pace and whether defenders fear him. He is not the first to say Gyokeres has not hit the level he did at Sporting Club (3).
Trent Alexander-Arnold in January? It depends on Spain
Arsenal are exploring a move for Trent Alexander-Arnold (4) (6). The former Liverpool right-back left for Real Madrid in the summer of 2025 (4).
A January move is on the table if his difficult spell in Spain continues (4). Mikel Arteta is said to be keen on him ahead of the winter window, and Arsenal have been given an idea of how likely a deal is (6).
United join the race for Kevin Schade
Arsenal want Brentford winger Kevin Schade, and now Manchester United are in too (8). United could enter the race amid growing uncertainty over Schade's future at Brentford (8).
You are not alone in this one. Liverpool are also in the mix (8).
Leeds at home after the break
Your last game was the bad one. Brighton & Hove Albion 3–0 Arsenal on September 19.
The next one is Leeds United at home on Saturday, October 10, 13:30 CEST (Premier League).
Fan reactions
The mood on r/Gunners is split between Gyokeres and the players who were away on international duty. One thread is built around Gyokeres saying he "needs to do better" to win back his Arsenal place (link). The other big talking point is England, with Bukayo Saka, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Jarell Quansah in the line-up against Spain, and David Raya, Mikel Merino and Martin Zubimendi on the Spain bench (link).
