Tzolis deal agreed, up to €40m from Club Brugge

Arsenal have an agreement with Club Brugge for Christos Tzolis. The 24-year-old left winger arrives for a fee rising to €40m, around £34m (1) (5). He is the direct replacement for Leandro Trossard, who joined Beşiktaş on a 3+1 year deal (10) (12) (16).

Saliba's back injury: surgery on the table

This one stings. William Saliba has been playing through a back problem for two months and the situation is serious. "I can't take it anymore," he said (8). Arsenal will assess him after the World Cup and surgery is a real possibility (8) (13). Months out, not weeks.

Lacroix lined up as Saliba cover

With Saliba potentially missing the start of the season, Arsenal are moving for Crystal Palace centre-back Maxence Lacroix. Rated at £60m. Chelsea are also in the race (13).
