Massara out as sporting director
Roma have sacked sporting director Ricky Massara. The decision comes on the morning of the final Serie A matchday, a brutal piece of timing for a front-office move of this magnitude. Massara departs after what both the club and Italian reports describe as a year of mixed results, moments of light and shadow. (1) (2)
The move was announced as a mutual contract termination, but make no mistake: this is a firing, and it lands hours before the biggest game of the season.
Greenwood on Roma's radar
Roma are among the clubs tracking Marseille winger Mason Greenwood. Fenerbahce and Tottenham are also in the race. Manchester United hold a sell-on clause, so they stand to profit if a deal materialises, the numbers being floated put the total package around £48m. (3)

It's early, it's unconfirmed, but the interest is real.
Alisson door stays shut
Liverpool have told Alisson Becker they will not sell him this summer. That effectively kills any Roma hopes of bringing the Brazilian back to Serie A. Juventus had also been linked. (4)
Nothing to see here for now.
Fan reactions
The Massara news has landed with a mix of shrugs and nostalgia over on Reddit. Some fans feel the sporting director never quite found his footing in Rome, one thread veered into remembering "Uzbek Messi" Eldor Shomurodov instead, a backup striker sold too cheaply last year. The consensus seems to be that this front-office reset was overdue. See the discussion
