Villa are closing in on a deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to former scout Mick Brown (1). West Ham rejected a loan bid earlier, so the permanent route is the one being worked (1) (3). A right-back has been the missing piece for a while. Wan-Bissaka, 28, is at West Ham now after leaving Manchester United.
Palhinha pursuit back on
Villa have resumed talks for Joao Palhinha, with Benfica also linked as an alternative (2) (4). Bayern sporting director Max Eberl was blunt in the past: "Aston Villa contacted us about Joao.
