Ederson's €45m United move: medical done, Gasperini says goodbye
It's happening. Ederson has already undergone an unofficial medical and is set to join Manchester United for €45 million (1) (4). The Brazilian midfielder is leaving Bergamo after a season where he was the engine of your midfield, the man who set the tempo for everything Atalanta did.
Gian Piero Gasperini didn't mince words when asked about him: "In terms of physicality, regains and the timing of his runs, Ederson is definitely an extraordinary player, one cut out for teams at the very highest level" (1).
Don Hutchison went even further, calling him "a manager's dream" and "outstanding", the player he thought Liverpool would have signed when Fabinho left (4).

Seven Atalanta players heading to the World Cup
Marten de Roon, Charles De Ketelaere, Mario Pasalic, Sead Kolasinac, Isak Hien, Odilon Kossounou, and Kamaldeen Sulemana, all seven have been called up for the 2026 World Cup starting June 11 (2).
