Arnaud wants accountability

Davy Arnaud did not soften it after the Nashville loss. "We have to understand that we need 11 guys on the same page and pulling in the same direction," he said. "I don't think we had that. They were better than us in every part of the game" (3).

He said it before the trip to Los Angeles. The 3–1 at LAFC followed.

Vancouver at home on Saturday

The Vancouver Whitecaps come to Q2 Stadium on Saturday, October 18 (5). Kickoff is 02:30 CEST.

You drew 1–1 with Colorado Rapids on September 10, won 2–1 at Vancouver on September 14, drew 0–0 at FC Dallas on September 20, drew 3–3 with San Diego FC on September 27, then lost 1–4 to Nashville SC on October 11.

After Vancouver: Sporting Kansas City away on October 25, Real Salt Lake at home on October 29.

LAFC are wobbling too

LAFC have not won in four league games, and Xavi Tamarit is their new man in charge. His first game was a 1–1 draw with the Vancouver Whitecaps (3).

They also tied up Eddie Segura on a contract extension through the 2029-30 season. "Eddie has earned the trust and respect of everyone at this club through his consistency, professionalism, and leadership over the years," said LAFC president of soccer operations John Thorrington (3).

Fan reactions

The mood on r/AustinFC is flat and a little fed up. One thread is titled "I know we suck, but can the mods update the damn game threads?", a complaint about match threads going up late for the third time in five games. Others are still posting game day threads and previews anyway.
