Boca have made their move. The club has formally offered the head coach position to Rodolfo Arruabarrena, and Riquelme's camp says the former Boca boss wants the job. "Quiere venir", he wants to come (1).
Arruabarrena, who previously managed Boca in 2014–2016, is the clear frontrunner to replace Ubeda after direct contact from the football council this week (2) (5). A return would be framed as unfinished business: his first spell ended amid internal tension. This time, the call came directly from Román.
Villa on the radar
Boca are targeting a move for Sebastián Villa as a priority signing to bolster the attack (8). The Colombian winger, currently at Independiente Rivadavia, is a familiar name, he spent several seasons at Boca before departing.
With Cavani's future uncertain and the squad being reshaped after the Libertadores exit, Villa's pace and directness could address a clear need. Independiente Rivadavia may also lose striker Alex Arce, with Fluminense circling ahead of Libertadores commitments (8).
