Santos gone, £48m to United
Andrey Santos is a Manchester United player. The deal is done at £48m, confirmed Monday (1) (2) (4). Santos did not hold back on his new club: "Everything about Manchester United is special. It is an incredible feeling to join a club that some of my biggest idols have represented" (1). He leaves after limited impact at Chelsea, and United have been pushing for this one for weeks.
Alonso wants Enzo to stay
Xabi Alonso is drawing lines early. Enzo Fernandez has been linked with a move away, but the new boss shut that down publicly. Asked directly whether he wants to keep the Argentine at Chelsea, Alonso replied: "Yes" (3). The two have spoken privately, Alonso confirmed, but kept the details to himself.
Garnacho free to leave
