Oikonomou critical, U19s and U17s win Danish titles

Former FCK defender in critical condition after crash

Marios Oikonomou is in critical condition following a traffic accident, according to Greek media reports (2). The 32-year-old Greek defender played for FC Copenhagen from 2020 to 2022, making 21 appearances and scoring once. Oikonomou was part of the squad that won the 2021/22 Danish Superliga title under Jess Thorup. Thoughts are with him and his family tonight.

U19s destroy Midtjylland to take the title

FC Copenhagen's U19s dismantled FC Midtjylland 5–1 to clinch the Danish championship (4). A brutal statement from the academy, with the result never in doubt.

U17s go unbeaten to seal it in Randers

The U17s matched their older academy teammates by winning the Danish championship, beating Randers 2–1 away to seal the title with four games still to play (3). Coach Emil Fredslund called it special to secure it at the first attempt: "Dejligt at sikre titlen i første hug" (1). An undefeated season with a four-match cushion speaks for itself.
