Galatasaray derby week: four injury doubts and a Buruk board meeting

The derby is the story\n\nGalatasaray play Fenerbahçe in the Süper Lig, and the only question fans are asking is when, at what time, and on which channel [(1)](https://news.google.com/rss/articles/CBMiuAFBVV95cUxPRlpVR2F6ZFY3TnhxMloyRHJmcjBSMW5xQXJhZzYta1NJajFpa3Y2OU4xOGVTS19HLWdhWElXbVRCY0UyYTZWTmM2YW1hdFB2ZU1KWldDSHU4Q1kzNnpfSFVLR0h0RzRzQVVpRFo5czFFcVFhR0ZzWVlHeTZIRVJ1Vlg3SkFIbzRURHFWbE1wRElLNlhDb2p3OENyMFhQUlppYTA1ZmZzMU0wZ0RncWVJcjZ4R205THRx?oc=5). You are second on 13 points from six games, +3 goal difference, and the last five reads W W L W L. The Trabzonspor trip is the L that hurts most: Trabzonspor 4–0 Galatasaray on Sat, Sep 19. Nothing else on this list matters as much as getting back on your feet in a derby.\n\n## Four injuries hang over the Kasımpaşa squad\n\nVictor Osimhen, Mario Lemina, Roland Sallai and Wilfried Singo are all doubts. A Spor commentator Nevzat Dindar went through each of their situations ahead of the Kasımpaşa match [(4)](https://www.fotomac.com.tr/video-haber/videoizle/sirayla-acikladi-osimhen-lemina-sallai-ve-singo-kasimpasa-macina-yetisecek-mi). Whether any of the four make it changes the team Okan Buruk can put out.\n\n## Buruk and the board are meeting\n\nOkan Buruk and the Galatasaray management will sit down for a meeting [(5)](https://news.google.com/rss/articles/CBMitAFBVV95cUxNclp5NGhic29laTNhSmdjTEpVeDgyVnN2aXd2RTRwaDBoX0tzZmE2ZVo0Zkc5blFuSTJ6Vm1ndVJrM0gtZUsxaENpV096MlZoeG1UUlViZXU4dHVsUEFWQXdMTGV4cWpUOVZvSk4wcnl1Wmtta3NDQmlTSXpHSmVwRWVMVnN0RHplVTllV2hKZzAyTVZUd1hqZmc0MlBKdDJpVDlMZVhndFE4TG5hZ290MmlhMVY?oc=5). It comes after the 4–0 loss at Trabzonspor and the 3–1 defeat at Sporting CP in the Champions League on Wed, Sep 9.\n\n## Galatasaray want Gyökeres in January\n\nGalatasaray are chasing Arsenal striker Viktor Gyökeres for the winter window [(2)](https://www.aspor.com.tr/galatasaray/2026/09/24/galatasaraydan-gyokeres-bombasi-cimbomdan-sezona-damga-vuracak-transfer). No fee, no terms, just the interest.\n\n## Another run at Camavinga\n\nGalatasaray pushed for Eduardo Camavinga in the summer and he said no. Now they are preparing a fresh offer for the Real Madrid midfielder in the winter window [(3)](https://www.spox.com/fussball/news/er-gab-dem-klub-im-sommer-einen-korb-galatasaray-plant-angeblich-im-winter-neuen-anlauf-bei-star-von-real-madrid/blt450b1f3938a80c32?utm_id=in9xv2rmbt7qjzpk&utm_source_platform=none) [(7)](https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/pilka-nozna/1275537/galatasaray-rusza-po-gwiazde-realu-madryt-w-styczniu-zlozy-oferte) [(9)](https://www.fichajes.net/noticias/galatasaray-aprieta-camavinga-20260923.html). One German report floats a loan first, with the idea that if Camavinga cannot break into the first team under José Mourinho, frustration might open the door [(3)](https://www.spox.com/fussball/news/er-gab-dem-klub-im-sommer-einen-korb-galatasaray-plant-angeblich-im-winter-neuen-anlauf-bei-star-von-real-madrid/blt450b1f3938a80c32?utm_id=in9xv2rmbt7qjzpk&utm_source_platform=none).\n\n## Terim on Buruk\n\nFatih Terim's words about Okan Buruk became the talking point in Turkey after the Trabzonspor defeat [(10)](https://www.sozcu.com.tr/fatih-terim-in-okan-buruk-sozleri-gundem-oldu-p362975). Terim is the club's legendary name, and every line he says about the current coach gets picked apart.\n\n## VAR from the Sporting game is under fire\n\nThe VAR from Sporting 3–1 Galatasaray is being argued about across Turkey [(6)](https://www.abola.pt/noticias/videoarbitro-do-sporting-galatasaray-debaixo-de-fogo-na-turquia-2026092309341901243). Sporting president Federico Varandas had his own line on the match: \"Birileri uyarsın!\" [(11)](https://www.hurriyet.com.tr/sporarena/sporting-baskanindan-galatasaray-maci-aciklamasi-birileri-uyarsin-43317376).\n\n## Four-year deals on the table\n\nThe board has moved on internal contracts, working on new four-year deals for players already in the squad [(8)](https://www.aspor.com.tr/galatasaray/2026/09/23/galatasaraydan-ic-transfer-hamlesi-4-yillik-yeni-kontrat).\n\n## Gedson Fernandes and Trabzonspor\n\nAn official statement has landed on whether Gedson Fernandes is joining Trabzonspor. The ex-Galatasaray man is at Spartak Moscow [(12)](https://www.fotomac.com.tr/trabzonspor/2026/09/23/gedson-fernandes-trabzonspora-transfer-olacak-mi-resmi-aciklama-geldi).\n\n## Fan reactions\n\nThe mood is split on Rafael Leão. One thread calls his start \"disastrous\" after 0 goals and 0 assists, and flags 21 lost possessions in the 4–0 at Trabzonspor, plus criticism of his body language ([thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/1wobxol/leao_disastrous_start_at_galatasaray_he_is)). Others are on Ugochukwu's reported €25m obligation, which kicks in somewhere between 18 and 25 appearances depending on who you read ([thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/galatasaray/comments/1wo030e/ugochukwu_transfer_becomes_mandatory_after_20)). There is also praise for Okan Buruk from Turgutluspor coach Zeynep Mestan, who says outdoing him at Galatasaray is not easy and that his teams know how to win even when the football is not pretty ([thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/galatasaray/comments/1wnw6ug/tutgutluspor_coach_zeynep_mestan_i_dont_think_its)).
