Carnevali clears the deck on day one
Andrea Carnevali started as Juventus CEO on Monday morning and wasted zero time. His first act: putting almost every signing Damien Comolli made up for sale (1). Only one player from the Comolli era survives the cull. Jeremie Boga, Jonathan David, and Lois Openda are all available. Kenan Yildiz is the exception, he stays. Carnevali met with the board immediately to set the budget and work through the UEFA settlement terms (5). A complete reset, and it started today.
A €100m question with Arsenal
Comolli is gone, but the offer on the table for Yildiz is very real. Arsenal put €100 million forward for the Turkish winger, and Juventus do not want to sell (1). Carnevali keeping Yildiz off the for-sale list is a statement. That does not mean the London club will stop pushing.
Personal terms agreed with Emi Martinez
Juventus have an agreement on personal terms with Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez (2). The fee with Villa is the sticking point, nothing settled yet with the club. Martinez, 33, would replace Mattia Perin between the posts if the deal gets across the line.
Spalletti wants Vlahovic to stay
Dusan Vlahovic's contract expires in June 2026, and Comolli's exit changes the equation. Carnevali plans to reopen renewal talks at manager Luciano Spalletti's request (3). The striker has been a cornerstone of the attack, and the new CEO appears ready to invest in keeping him.
Brahim Diaz on the radar
Juventus are interested in Brahim Diaz, though his renewal with Real Madrid is already far along (4). The 26-year-old attacking midfielder would add creativity in the final third, but prying him from Madrid is a long shot while the ink on a new deal is still drying.
