Assibu signs to 2030, joins the first team
Isaac Assibu has signed a new deal with Malmö FF through 2030, and the 18-year-old winger is now part of the senior squad (1). That is a serious show of faith from the club. Assibu has been one of the brightest talents in the academy and your team moved early to lock him down.
Henrysson arrives from BK Olympic
Jack Henrysson is a Malmö FF player. The 18-year-old centre-back joins from local side BK Olympic, and the move is confirmed by both clubs (2) (4). Henrysson said his goodbyes on Friday: "I just want to thank you for all the years, all the memories, and above all all the fantastic people I've gotten to know at Lindängens IP. I'm incredibly grateful for my time at the club and wish the club all the best in the future" (2). No fee disclosed, but this is a clear investment in defensive depth.
Olsen returns, Friedrich missing
Robin Olsen is back in training after injury (3). That is important, because Johan Dahlin stepped in against Kalmar and had a visibly tense exchange with Pontus Jansson after the 2–2 draw. Ricardo Friedrich was absent from the session entirely, so Olsen's return could not come at a better time.
Lundgren also extends to 2030
Another academy talent tied down. Nieroth Lundgren has extended his contract to 2030 as well (3). Two long-term deals, two young players secured. Helstrup is clearly building with the future in mind, even as the first team sits 7th and the attack searches for rhythm.
