Defensive crisis ahead of Degerfors
Your backline is a mess for Sunday. Malmö FF face Degerfors IF at home on Sunday, and the squad is missing several defenders through injury and fitness issues (2). 17-year-old Theodor Lundbergh is now a real option to start, at a position he does not even like. "It's not my favorite position," Lundbergh said (2). Coach Gaute Helstrup is weighing his options ahead of a fixture you have already won once this season, a 1–0 away result on July 4.
Djuric says no to Raków, twice
Raków Częstochowa want Andrej Djuric. The Polish club pushed hard for the centre-back, but Djuric has rejected the move and made his position clear through multiple outlets (1) (4). "I'm in no rush to leave here," Djuric said. "I've been thriving since the new coach came in" (4). He is open to the right offer, but that offer is not from Raków this summer.
Vecchia contract terminated
Stefano Vecchia is out. Malmö FF have mutually agreed to end the 31-year-old's contract (8). Sporting director Philip Berglund was direct: "Stefano was a key player during the 2023 title-winning season and has always been thoroughly professional. He's a fine person and a good footballer, but he needs playing time to find form and we cannot give him that here right now. Given the rejuvenation process we are in, this is a good solution for both sides" (8). This is the second departure in recent days, after goalkeeper Ricardo Friedrich also left the club (8).

Kamanzi debut delayed
Warren Kamanzi's first appearance in a Malmö shirt will have to wait. The summer signing from Toulouse is struggling with overload issues and has not trained fully (3). "He needs time to get going physically. He is not available now, so we will take it week by week and build him up," Helstrup said (3). No timeline for his debut.
Nordås on the radar
Malmö FF are one of several clubs tracking Luton Town forward Lasse Nordås (5) (6) (7). Hammarby, Djurgården, and Raków Częstochowa are also in the mix. The Norwegian has a Polish offer on the table and is considering his options (5). The 26-year-old previously played for Bodø/Glimt and Tromsø before his move to Luton (7).
Boutera cleared to face Malmö
Degerfors have registered new signing Karim Boutera in time for Sunday. The midfielder signed a contract through summer 2030 and is match-ready (9). He steps straight into a Degerfors side you beat 1–0 away a month ago.
