Ekong transfer collapses, surgery next as Stryger and Dahlin extend

Ekong's move to Hajduk Split collapses, now needs surgery

Emmanuel Ekong was supposed to be on his way out. Instead, the winger is heading for an operation after his transfer to Hajduk Split fell through, Malmö FF confirmed (1). The Expressen football panel did not hold back: "The last thing a player wants on his CV," they wrote about the collapsed deal (5). Ekong had already been left out of the squad against Kalmar as the move was being finalised. Now your team loses a forward to the treatment room instead of the transfer market.

Stryger Larsen signs new deal until 2027

Jens Stryger Larsen is staying. The right-back has extended his contract with Malmö FF through 2027, the club confirmed on Saturday (2) (3). "I love the atmosphere and the environment at the club," Stryger said (3). A reliable starter locked down at a position where continuity matters.

Dahlin close to new contract

Johan Dahlin is set to follow. Aftonbladet reports the veteran goalkeeper is on the verge of signing a new deal with Malmö FF (4). The 38-year-old recently replaced Robin Olsen in goal and had a heated exchange with Pontus Jansson after the Kalmar draw. Now it looks like he will extend his stay.
