Gaute Helstrup confirmed after the final whistle that Colin Rösler is close to leaving. AGF Århus have him on a three-year deal (1) (3). "He is near a new club," the manager said (3). Rösler did not feature against BP. With Malte Frejd Pålsson suspended after his red card against Elfsborg (14), Helstrup was picking between Bleon Kurtulus and Andrej Djurić at centre-back. That is the situation now: one defender walking out the door, another banned, and a third who did not make it to half-time.
Åstrand John gone after half an hour
Noah Åstrand John was forced off injured 30 minutes in. Gabriel Busanello came on (6). No timeline yet, no diagnosis made public. In a squad already thin at the back, losing another body is the kind of problem that a late winner will not fix. The table has Malmö eighth, 20 points from 15 matches (18). Jovan Milosavljevic wants out

Christiansen is back, sort of

Helstrup called him a potential joker (12). Realistically, a 36-year-old coming off three months out is not going to fix the midfield on his own. But in a squad where the €2.2m man cannot get on the pitch, you take what you can get.
What to watch
A full week before the next matchday. Christiansen gets another seven days to build fitness. The Rösler exit should be wrapped up, which means Helstrup has to decide on his central-defensive pairing without ambiguity. And Garcia now carries the expectation that comes with a match-winner. Three points at Grimsta bought time. The squad still needs fixing.
