Kurtulus returns as Djuric suspension opens door against Sirius

Kurtulus back, Djuric out for Sirius

Bleon Kurtulus returns from a nasal fracture and concussion, and the timing lines up well. Andrej Djuric is suspended for the Sirius match after picking up a needless yellow in the 4–0 win over IFK Göteborg (1). Helstrup gets a natural replacement right when he needs one.

Billborn: "Sometimes you're just not better"

IFK Göteborg manager Stefan Billborn did not sugarcoat the 0–4 defeat. "Ibland kanske man inte är bättre heller," he said, which means sometimes you're just not better (2). He also dismissed the idea of hiring a mental coach after the collapse: "If you win football matches, that usually goes a long way" (2). Larsson and Hermansson could return for their match against BP (4).

Rihter plans a data-driven MFF

Chairman Zlatko Rihter is redesigning how Malmö FF recruits. The club is moving toward AI- and data-driven scouting, stricter transfer processes, and a target of financial balance within three years (3). A new sporting director is also on the agenda (3). This is a structural overhaul, not a tweak.
