Third place is on the line against Häcken
Malmö FF sit sixth on 36 points from 23 games, and a win over BK Häcken on Sunday at 16:30 CEST would be a big step towards third (1). Jonas Valfridsson is not treating it as an opportunity. "Det är en väldigt tuff match för oss som vi måste hantera," the MFF coach said (1). Your team come in off a 1–0 home win over Kalmar FF on October 12, the fifth game in a run of W D W L W (1).
Kamanzi finally talks about the injury
Warren Kamanzi has not played a single minute since arriving in mid-July. Now he explains why. "Det är en form av 'sportsmans groin'," he says (2). The 25-year-old Norwegian says the load problem hit him almost straight away. "Det har varit tufft. Jag kom hit och ville vara med direkt men efter en överbelastning blev det inte riktigt som jag ville" (6) (8). His target is to be fully fit for next season, not to rush back (8).
Two more doubts for Sunday
Kamanzi is not the only question mark. Malmö FF go into the Häcken game with two players uncertain to feature (4) (7).
SvFF banned Siby for six months
Mahame Siby left Malmö FF after the club cut ties with him over disciplinary breaches. Fotbollskanalen can now report that SvFF suspended him for six months last winter (3) (9). Siby is 30 and joined Malmö FF in the summer of 2022 (9). He has not turned on the club. "Jag hyser inget annat än kärlek för Malmö FF," he said (3).
Friedrich has a new club
Ricardo Friedrich left Malmö FF in the summer. The goalkeeper has now signed for Brazilian side Portuguesa (10).
