Malmö's junior side thrashed 4–1 by HIF in reserve derby

Derby humiliation in Ligacupen Elit

Helsingborgs IF 4–1 Malmö FF in the Ligacupen Elit on Tuesday, and it was never close (2). MFF fielded a junior-heavy reserve side against HIF's senior reserves, and the gap showed. Jonathan Hasselqvist, Harun Nezirovski, Kevin Nyarko, and Albert Tamoyan all scored for HIF. Elias Khalil got Malmö's only goal. William Nieroth Lundgren, Viggo Jeppsson, and Jovan Milosavljevic all started for Malmö alongside experienced names like Martin Olsson and Anders Christiansen (2). A rough night for the youngsters.

Rösler sold to AGF, Anderson backs him

Colin Rösler is gone. The centre-back has completed a transfer from Malmö FF to Danish side AGF Århus (1). Mikael Anderson, who played with Rösler at Djurgården, did not hold back with the praise: "He's a really, really cool guy. He's a big character who demands things of himself, his teammates and everything" (1). That is high praise from a former teammate.

U19 defender Larsen moves to AFC Malmö

Linus Larsen, a 19-year-old left-footed defender from Malmö's U19 setup, has signed for AFC Malmö (3). AFC manager Omid Hushmand called him "a very interesting player with a fine left foot, good game understanding and a good attitude" (3). A move for senior football.
