MFF open talks with Anders Christiansen
Anders Christiansen is out of contract and Malmö FF have started discussing a new solution with him. Sporting director Philip Berglund confirmed it: "Vi är öppna för att hitta en ny lösning för framtiden och har en klok, bra och rak dialog om det" (6).
That is the club saying the door is open, on a straight and honest footing. The veteran's deal runs out, and the talks are about what comes next rather than a goodbye.
You are seventh with 36 points from 24 games, and a squad in transition needs steady heads in it. Christiansen is exactly that.

Right side thin before Elfsborg
Mayckel Lahdo and Anton Höög are both carrying small knocks, and Malmö FF go to IF Elfsborg on Friday 19:00 with a winger problem (1) (2). Viggo Jeppsson is also in the question-mark pile, and Kamanzi is not ready (2).
One piece of good news: Jovan Milosavljevic could return. Gaute Helstrup was careful with it: "Vi hoppas att han ska vara helt redo i morgon" (1). Otto Rosengren is fit and back in the squad (2).
Elfsborg away then Halmstads BK away on Wednesday 28 October. Two trips, and your right flank is the first thing to fix.
Karabeljov has not played a minute
Janis Karabeljov has been on the bench nine games in a row and has not had a single minute under Gaute Helstrup (5) (7). He is questioning his future at the club and says he sees no point in staying.
A national-team midfielder sitting frozen out is a squad problem, not just a personal one. You are seventh, the form reads D W L W L, and there are players at this club who cannot get on the pitch at all.
Helstrup holds his VAR line
After the 0–1 home loss to BK Häcken, Helstrup spoke in favour of VAR. He was asked about it at the press conference and did not take it back. The club line against VAR is what applies, and he stressed his support for it (3).
The Häcken game is gone, but the debate around your coach is not.
Elfsborg away, 19:00 on Friday
IF Elfsborg away on Friday 23 October, 19:00. Then Halmstads BK away on Wednesday 28 October, before Hammarby IF come to Malmö on Sunday 1 November.
Your last home game was the 0–1 against Häcken on 18 October. The last win was 1–0 over Kalmar FF on 12 October.
