Milosavljevic loan looms after six-minute Malmö half-season

Milosavljevic open to a loan after six league minutes

Jovan Milosavljevic arrived for 24 million kronor. Half a season later, he has played six Allsvenskan minutes. Now both player and club are open to a loan move (1) (2).

"I'm open to everything," Milosavljevic said. "It's been a difficult half-year" (1).

Manager Gaute Helstrup confirmed the club is willing to let the winger go to get playing time elsewhere (2). That fee, roughly €2.2 million, bought almost nothing so far.

MFF chasing Trabzonspor midfielder Mendy

Malmö are in the market for a central midfielder and Batista Mendy of Trabzonspor is the name being pursued, according to reports in Turkey (3).

The interest comes amid speculation around Otto Rosengren attracting attention from other clubs (3). Mendy, 26, has also been linked with La Liga side Sevilla (3).

Fan reactions

The transfer window chatter has fans nostalgic rather than tactical. A Reddit thread asking about the most famous player ever to feature in Allsvenskan lit up with Zlatan's name, naturally, alongside shoutouts for Teddy Sheringham at Djurgården and Marek Hamšík's brief stint at IFK Göteborg.
