Reijnders on his way out, Milan pushing for loan deal
Tijjani Reijnders looks set to leave City this summer. AC Milan want a loan with an option to buy, and that structure increasingly looks like the only realistic path out (1).
Finance expert Stefan Borson laid it out bluntly: Italian clubs are tight, and City won't get their money back in a deal like that. "You can see it inevitably being a loan plus a conditional, probably conditional purchase. Is that something City want? I don't know" (1).
Borson added that Premier League options are thin, with even Chelsea not yet active in the market (1).
Reijnders still hungry despite the limited minutes
The Dutchman didn't hide his ambition when he spoke back in April. "It's amazing to play games like this and to be on the stage like this, and it makes you even more eager to play," Reijnders said. "That's why I also made a move to this club to fight for trophies" (1).
It hasn't worked out that way. He could now get a fresh start at San Siro.
