Alguacil's first league game ends in a 0–1 home defeat
Imanol Alguacil's Greek adventure started badly. Olympiacos lost 0–1 at home to OFI Crete at Karaiskakis, and the only goal came from Kodro's son (6). It was the new coach's league debut, and it ended with OFI's travelling support celebrating a win in Piraeus (7).

That is not a crisis, but it is not the start a club with Olympiacos' standards budgets for either. The concerning part is where the points went missing: at home, against the weakest opponent of the four.
The B team got the week's only real win
While the first team stumbled, Olympiacos B came from behind to win 1–2 away at Niki Volou in Superbet League 2, their first victory of the season (1). Zougli equalised and Bilal converted a penalty to complete the turnaround (2). The win moved the B team to fourth on four points (1).
There was a sting in it too: Niki Volou's opener was an own goal by Gotzamanidis, and Olympiacos were furious about an alleged attacking foul on Zougli at the start of the move (4).
What to watch
Jagiellonia Bialystok at home in the Europa League on Wednesday, 21:00 CEST, then away at Levadiakos on Sunday 20 September at 16:00 CEST. The Jagiellonia tie is Alguacil's first European night at Karaiskakis, and it arrives five days after the worst possible league start.
