Masouras on his way to Saudi Arabia
Georgios Masouras looks set to leave. Saudi club NEOM have approached Olympiacos for the winger, and a deal is close (1) (2). Masouras spent last season on loan in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Khaleej. Now NEOM want him permanently. The move would close the door on his Olympiacos career after five years at the club.
Champions League: Nijmegen at Faliro on Tuesday
Olympiacos host NEC Nijmegen in the third qualifying round of the Champions League on Tuesday (3) (4) (5). It is the first big European night of the season at Faliro. José Luis Mendilibar and Christos Mouzakitis faced the press on Monday.
Mouzakitis: Champions League is its own motivation
Christos Mouzakitis kept it simple ahead of the qualifier. "Playing in the Champions League gives you motivation in itself," he said at the press conference (3) (4). The young midfielder is expected to be in the squad for Tuesday.
Mendilibar wary of Schreuder's NEC
Mendilibar warned that NEC will not sit back. "But the most important thing is what we do ourselves," he told Dutch media (5). He praised Dick Schreuder for building a team with a distinct playing style. "A completely different match" is what he expects compared to recent friendlies (5).
