Pineda backs Hormiga Gonzalez before his Olympiacos move
Orbelin Pineda has a message for Armando Gonzalez. "It's great that another Mexican is going to another country. Let's hope he succeeds and can shine," Pineda said (2). He did not stop there. "We know his abilities, and he can score many goals and break records. The most important thing is to wish him the best; he's already doing very well" (2).
Gonzalez, known as Hormiga, is the Mexican forward Olympiacos are bringing in, and the move has stirred up Mexico (2). Pineda knows the league, he played for AEK Athens, so he knows what a Mexican forward stepping into Greece is walking into (2).
Pineda did not put a number on the goals. He said Gonzalez can break records. That is the bar the 27-year-old Pineda set for him (2).
