Panathinaikos have signed 19-year-old midfielder Aydon Shehu from Hull City, a deal that carried consequences far beyond Athens. Hull needed the sale to stay compliant with Profitability and Sustainability Rules, and the transfer has helped the Championship side avoid a points deduction (1). Shehu, an attacking midfielder, arrives with experience across Hull's youth setup and loans at Scarborough Athletic and Southend United. Hull are expected to net around £2m from the move. The teenager will now compete for a place in a Panathinaikos midfield already strengthened this summer.
