Pantelidis undergoes surgery, out 4 to 6 months

Pantelidis out 4 to 6 months after surgery

Pavlos Pantelidis has undergone surgery for a severe fibula fracture and will miss 4 to 6 months (1). The 23-year-old winger sustained the injury during a friendly against Athens Kallithea.

It is a rough blow ahead of the Conference League return leg against Paks. Your team holds a 2–1 lead from the first leg and expects over 20,000 at OAKA, but Pantelidis will not be part of it.

CSKA 1948 held on with ten men, now heading to OAKA

Your next European opponent just showed they can grind. CSKA 1948 beat Arda with ten players in their final match before travelling to Athens (2). They arrive at OAKA battle-tested.

The basketball side sent a message

Panathinaikos AKTOR, the club's basketball section, posted a public message for Pantelidis after his injury: "Pavlo, stay strong" (3).

Fan reactions

Away from the injury news, the mood on the Panathinaikos subreddit is upbeat. Fans are celebrating Kings Kangwa's contract extension to 2030, with one post titled simply "Thank you" summing up the sentiment around the squad right now. Read the thread here.
