Costa lands and the defence gets serious
Diego Costa is a PAOK player. The Brazilian centre-back joined from Krasnodar, born July 21, 1999, in Campo Grande, and he slots straight into a back line that PAOK have now reinforced twice in the space of a week (4). Hours earlier the club announced Iranian centre-back Mahdi Jelve (1). Two central defenders in a single window stretch is not rotation depth, it is a statement about where the weak point was.
And the timing is not subtle. PAOK play Panathinaikos at OAKA in matchday 3. The derby is live this Sunday evening (5). A side that conceded twice at Atromitos... wait, no.
