PAOK women stay perfect as Michailidis renewal moves

Two wins from two, and the women's team is not slowing down\r\n\r\nThe PAOK women's football team beat Agia Paraskevi 2–0 at Toumba in the rescheduled second round of the women's league [(4)](https://www.gazzetta.gr/football/ethniki-gynaikon/2574474/paok-agia-paraskeyi-synehizei-na-hamogela-o-dikefalos-toy-borra) [(11)](https://www.paok24.com/as-paok/645141/omorfo-podosfairo-kai-neo-triponto) [(28)](https://paokfc.net/etsi-xekinoyn-oi-ntamployches-2). That is two wins from two for the reigning double winners, who stay at the top of the table [(11)](https://www.paok24.com/as-paok/645141/omorfo-podosfairo-kai-neo-triponto). Nothing about the performance was dramatic. It did not need to be. The gap between PAOK and the sides below it in this division is not a thin one.\r\n\r\n## The men have already banked their 2x2\r\n\r\nFive games in, PAOK sits second on 12 points with a +7 goal difference and a W-W-L-W-W record (form table). The single defeat, a 3–1 loss at Panathinaikos on September 6, is the one black mark.\r\n\r\nThe rest is routine: 4–0 against Levadiakos, 2–1 at Atromitos, 2–0 against Aris, 3–1 at Panetolikos. Winning your home games and beating the mid-table sides away is how you stay in a title race you are not quite leading. The tie at the top has been noted elsewhere, and PAOK is part of it [(9)](https://www.arcadiasports.gr/tripli-isovathmia-stin-koryfi-19869).\r\n\r\n## Michailidis, and the order from the top\r\n\r\nGiannis Michailidis was surprised by the offer PAOK put in front of him, and Ivan Savvidis told the club to finish the renewal immediately [(20)](https://sportime.gr/podosfairo/paok-i-ekplixi-tou-michailidi-ke-i-paremvasi-ivan). That detail is the whole story. Owners do not push for speed on contracts they consider replaceable. Savvidis pushing tells you this is a player the club intends to keep, and the timing, a week before three PAOK internationals leave for Nations League duty, Agia Paraskevi aside, is not accidental [(25)](https://paokfc.net/oi-megales-maches-ton-aspromayron-diethnon) [(9)](https://www.arcadiasports.gr/tripli-isovathmia-stin-koryfi-19869). Zivkovic goes with Serbia, Zafeiris and Michailidis with Greece. Michailidis carries a contract question with him.\r\n\r\n## Kalamata at home, and what to watch\r\n\r\nKalamata visit on Monday, October 12, 17:00 CEST (fixture list). PAOK is second on 12 points from five, with a +7 goal difference and a W-W-L-W-W run behind it (form). On paper, that match is not where this season turns.\r\n\r\nIt is a checkpoint. Does the squad come back from the international break with the shape it left with? Is the Michailidis renewal signed before the speculation gets another week to grow [(20)](https://sportime.gr/podosfairo/paok-i-ekplixi-tou-michailidi-ke-i-paremvasi-ivan)? PAOK has earned the soft landing this fixture list gives it. The job now is not to waste it.\r\n
