Hermann Malonga signs for Manchester City
Hermann Malonga is gone. The 2008-born centre-back has agreed a deal with Manchester City and leaves PSG's academy for Guardiola's project (1). That is a sharp loss from the youth ranks, a defender the club rated highly enough that City moved decisively.
Bouaddi and Diomandé: the chase is on
Two names keep surfacing: Ayyoub Bouaddi and Yan Diomandé. Both are firmly on Luis Enrique's radar, though the competition is real (2). Ivory Coast coach Emerse Faé put it plainly this week: journalists told him in France that Diomandé was close to PSG, then at the World Cup they said Liverpool (3). Faé's response, focus on the tournament, then figure out the rest. For now, PSG are in the race but nothing is done.

The Malonga exit stung. City fans celebrated what they called a coup for their academy, while PSG supporters on the r/soccer threads were more focused on the incomings: Emerse Faé's candid quote about Diomandé drew plenty of attention, with fans reading it as proof that the winger is genuinely in play. Senny Mayulu's expected contract extension until 2031 landed well, Chelsea and Bayern were circling, and keeping a kid who wants to stay in Paris matters. Read the Diomandé discussion
