The Luuk de Jong question
PSV's striker shortage has revived one name: Luuk de Jong. Björn van der Doelen is in. "Ik zou Luuk de Jong terughalen," he says, and he has a number in mind, around €100,000 a year (1) (4).
De Jong is clubless. Van der Doelen wants a deal built so it does not weigh on the club, with the salary rising if Champions League football is reached. "Opbouwen als je bijvoorbeeld Champions League haalt, dat zou eigenlijk het beste zijn," he said (1) (4).

Varela on the radar, Napoli ahead
Gustavo Varela is the other name. The 21-year-old Monza striker has seven Serie A goals this season, and PSV are tracking him (3) (6).
Ajax are watching too. Napoli are the problem: good ties to Monza give them the edge, and the price is around €15 million (3) (5). A winter move is the talk.
Bakayoko can leave in the winter
Johan Bakayoko has dropped to fourth choice at RB Leipzig and can leave in the winter window, per BILD (2). Brajan Gruda, Tidiam Gomis and Andrija Maksimovic are ahead of him.
He is a former PSV winger. Whether that interests anyone in Eindhoven is the open question.
