Inter called him a player "from another planet" in their farewell statement (21). Hyperbole, sure, but the Dutchman leaves Milan having earned genuine respect. The amateur clubs where Dumfries started, VV Smitshoek and BVV Barendrecht, will receive FIFA solidarity payments from the transfer (13) (22).
