Roma 3–4 Real Madrid: three goals in seven minutes
You were 3–1 down in the 82nd minute. You won. Endrick came on and scored, Vinícius Júnior watched the finish from the bench, and Madrid flipped it in the closing minutes at the Stadio Olimpico (4) (6) (8).
Courtois had seen it coming (8). Roma's lead went through two Dutch scorers, and their 3–1 cushion did not last the final stretch (2). It is Madrid's second win in two Champions League games.
Gasperini: "we were superior for 80 minutes"
Roma's coach was not in the mood to pretend it never happened. "This result risks wiping out the 80 good minutes we played, and I can't do that," Gasperini said. "We leave this game disappointed by how it ended, but we were superior to Real" (3).

José Mourinho, on the other side, had a line for it: "They're a very strong team, but you can't play at that intensity for 90 minutes. I knew the fuel would run out" (2) (3).
Vinícius: four LaLiga games out, El Clasico gone
This is the one that hurts. Vinícius Júnior is suspended for four LaLiga matches, and that includes the trip to Barcelona on Sunday, October 25 (4) (12). Sevilla at home on Sunday, October 18 is the first game he misses (4).
Mourinho did not hide his anger: "A four-game suspension already seems absurd to me, but even more absurd is finding out about the punishment on the bus arriving at the stadium" (4) (7).
Vinícius on himself: "I'll be back"
He knows it has not been good enough. "I'm annoyed with myself for not being at my best," Vinícius said. "Vini always comes back, and I have no doubt I'll come back" (10).
He was taken off in the 58th minute in Rome, with Endrick coming on and scoring the goal that turned the game (14).
Mourinho on Wesley and the punishment
Mourinho praised Roma's Wesley for the job he did on Vinícius. "He made Vini's life difficult going forward and made ours difficult defensively. I already knew he was a good player, but it was the first time I'd seen him and he was even better than I thought" (11).
On the ban, he was blunter: "An absurd, ridiculous thing" (11).
Bendtner: stop the complaining
Former Denmark international Nicklas Bendtner has a message for the club. "It would suit Real Madrid well to stop sliding into this spiral of complaining, players, coaches and the president alike," he said (7).
Riolo will not rule out a Mbappé exit
Daniel Riolo has raised the possibility of Kylian Mbappé leaving at the end of the season. "Careful, the fact that Pedrerol is talking like that... let's not rule out a departure at the end of the season," he said (9).
The front pages loved it
Marca went with it: "No es milagro, es orgullo." Not a miracle, pride (1).
What's next
Sevilla at home on Sunday, October 18 (21:00 CEST), without Vinícius. RB Leipzig at home in the Champions League on Wednesday, October 21. Then Barcelona away on Sunday, October 25, and Vinícius misses that one too.
Madrid sit fourth in La Liga on 18 points from 8 games, +11 goal difference.
Fan reactions
The mood in the Madrid corners is split between the comeback and the ban. Fans are passing around the mixed-zone interviews, with Fede Valverde's cut short and Vinícius and Endrick front and centre, and a clip of Mourinho's furious reaction when Vinícius lost the ball before Roma's third goal. There is also a lot of talk about Yan Diomande's 70 minutes against Roma.
