AIK's record quarter and the training ground that keeps slipping

AIK's record quarter, driven by the Yohanna sale

The quarterly report is out and the numbers are the best in club history. Operating result of 138 million SEK, 111 million after tax (3) (4).

The engine is the Zadok Yohanna transfer to Brighton. Transfer net of 147 million SEK is the highest AIK Fotboll has ever posted (4). Equity is near 135 million, cash liquidity at 102 million, and CEO Fredrik Söderberg called the balance sheet record-strong (4).

Ayari could be the next windfall

Roma and Borussia Dortmund are circling Yasin Ayari, and a Brighton sale in the 450 to 500 million SEK range would send around 60 to 70 million back to AIK through a sell-on clause (1).

Training ground slips to 2028

The new training facility is delayed again. "We probably won't have it until 2028," Söderberg said (5). Construction has not started, and the original target was 2027 (5).
