Assadi is on his way to AIK
Lucas Assadi is coming. Universidad de Chile confirmed on Friday that AIK's bid triggered the Chilean playmaker's release clause (2) (10). He travels Saturday and will not play in Sunday's Superclásico against Colo Colo (2) (9). Fernando Gago was blunt: "The clause was executed. Neither the club nor anyone else can do anything. He is not going to be called up, he is not going to play on Sunday" (9).
The numbers behind the deal
AIK pay US$2.3 million in two instalments, with a contract running to December 2030 (3). U de Chile have made it official: "We wish Lucas the greatest success, he arrived at our home at age 7 and, after shining in every category of the U for 15 years, today he leaves to fulfill his great dream" (4).
The noise from Chile
Not everyone is happy. Former U legend Mariano Puyol took aim at the timing: "I think the U has never depended on Assadi" (5). Colo Colo coach Fernando Ortiz was more gracious: "It's a shame about Lucas leaving. We can't take advantage of him. It would have been much nicer for the show" (10).

Andersson is gone
Victor Andersson has left AIK for Vitória SC, signed through June 2030 (1). Recruiting chief Miika Takkula sent him off warmly: "Victor has gone all the way from U to A and given us many 'wow' moments along the way. Now he has been given the chance at a new challenge that he wanted to take. A big thank you to Victor for all these years in AIK, and we wish him nothing but luck in the future" (1).
Derby momentum, and what is next
You won the derby. AIK beat Djurgården 1–3 away on August 16, and Djurgården keeper Jacob Rinne tried to shake it off: "We didn't reinvent the wheel, really" (8). You sit fourth, level on goal difference, and Hammarby visit on August 30. There is also word AIK are interested in Mjällby midfielder Bork Bang-Kittilsen, who has struggled for minutes (6). And ex-AIK forward Zadok Yohanna is the subject of loan talks between Marseille and Brighton (7).
