Carlstrand double sinks Örgryte as AIK turn it around

Carlstrand's revenge: two goals in front of the north stand

Linus Carlstrand did not wait. Your team flipped the 0–3 home defeat from six days earlier and won 4–2 at Örgryte on Saturday, and the 21-year-old grabbed two of the goals (3). He ran straight to the away supporters after finding the net. "It's something I've dreamed of since I was a kid. Getting to do it in front of the north stand gang. I know what I'm like as a supporter, and now as a player. I love AIK," he told Sportbladet (3).

Gustafsson and Christoffersson got their debuts

Sixten Gustafsson and Noah Christoffersson both started. Both scored their first senior goals for AIK (3). Kevin Filling, Wilmer Olofsson, Hervé Matthys, Yannick Geiger, and Linus Järeteg also got minutes as Riveiro turned to the squad with nine players still out injured (3).

AIK chasing Vasalund's 19-year-old midfielder

Filip Lukic is on the radar. AIK have made first contact with Vasalunds IF about the 19-year-old midfield talent, with Expressen and Bollsvenskan both reporting the interest (1) (2). Lukic has broken through at the Ettan club and fits the profile Takkula is targeting.

Djurgården away on Sunday

The derby is next. Your team head to Djurgården on Sunday, August 16, sitting fifth on 25 points, three off the European spots. Four goals at Örgryte will help, but the rivals are a different test entirely.
