Yasin Ayari wants his brother next
Yasin Ayari has one name in mind for Brighton's next AIK raid: his brother. "Min bror," he said when asked who should follow him (1). Taha Ayari is still at AIK. Yasin and Zadok Yohanna have already made the same move to Brighton (1).
Ayari won't commit to Brighton long term
Yasin Ayari is happy at Brighton and won't say more than that. "It feels good at Brighton and I'm under contract there. I will always do my best as long as I play for that club. I feel good there" (4). Roma, Galatasaray, Borussia Dortmund and Fenerbahçe have all been linked with him (4).
Thomassen has a new job
Mikkjal Thomassen is back in the Faroe Islands. AIK sacked him in January after 54 matches in charge, and he has now signed for Havnar Bóltfelag in the Faroese Betrideildin (2) (3). HB welcomed him with a message about "a new chapter, a shared vision, a clear direction" (2) (3).
Where that leaves your season
AIK sit 8th in the Allsvenskan on 33 points from 22 games, with a goal difference of -3 (form: W D L D L). The last five: a 3–2 home win over Hammarby on Aug 30, a 0–0 draw at Malmö on Sep 7, a 1–4 home loss to Västerås on Sep 12, a 1–1 home draw with Mjällby on Sep 16, and a 2–1 loss at Halmstad on Sep 20.
