Míchel talks stall, Ajax eye Danish teen amid Barça interest

Míchel deal stalling over backroom staff

Ajax and Míchel have still not reached an agreement. The main sticking point right now is his assistant coaches, reports De Telegraaf's Mike Verweij (3). Verweij still expects the former Girona boss to end up in Amsterdam, but added: "Stranger things have happened" (3).

The club is in a hurry. With Conference League qualifiers looming, Ajax want the managerial situation sorted before preseason kicks off early (2). Every day this drags on, preparation suffers.

Feyenoord and PSV are meanwhile already moving in the transfer market, adding pressure (5).

Danish wonderkid on the radar, but so are Barça and City

Ajax are tracking 17-year-old FK Bodø/Glimt striker Mikkel Bro Hansen, but the competition is brutal. Barcelona and Manchester City are both in the mix (1) (4). The kid is one of Europe's most wanted teenage forwards, so pulling this off would take something special.
