All Boys draw again as the drop edge closer

Mereció más, y eso ya no alcanza

All Boys 0–0 Colón on Saturday at Floresta, two goals disallowed for offside (2) (3). Fabián Nardozza put it plainly: "Ante la injusticia es difícil poder revertir algo" (5). He is right about the two calls. He is also sitting on 33 points, 13th of 18 in Zona A, two above the drop (2).

That is the trap of this month in Floresta. The performance against Colón was good enough to win. It joins a run that has produced one victory in five (2) (6). All Boys are playing well and spending the weeks not moving.

The pattern is the points that were left

Five straight games without a win now, if you count back through the draw at Chaco For Ever, the 0–1 home loss to San Telmo and the 1–1 at San Miguel (2) (6). Two home draws in that stretch, two away draws, one defeat. Four draws from five is not bad form in the classic sense. It is a team that cannot close a game.

Nicolás Carrizo saved the point at San Miguel with a late stop on Lucas Delgado (6). Saturday's point came from officials, not players. One goal in the last four games tells you where the problem actually lives.

A rival also stumbling

Colón arrived with their own problems. Wachi García missed the match with an ankle sprain and three weeks out (11). Facundo Castet was working separately (11). Delfino was still testing Rasmussen and Antonio the day before kickoff (12).

All Boys could not punish a weakened direct rival at home. That is the honest read of the week. Survival is not going to be won on refereeing complaints, and the club knows it. The two points separating 13th from danger (2) will not survive many more 0–0s.

What to watch

Deportivo Morón away on Saturday, October 3, 20:00 CEST. Then Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba at home on Saturday, October 10, 20:00 CEST. Morón away is the kind of game that decides whether the last five weeks were a slow slide or a floor. Watch the front line. One goal in four matches means Nardozza has to find something different up front, or the draws keep counting down toward the trapdoor.
